JonMny — Its
sad , so many live beyond their means. Giving all their future earnings
to banks so they can get shiny new cars , furniture and luxury
kitchens. Stop borrowing money and they wont need to worry.
sameerjadhav — So, are crypto miners going to buy up the Raspberry Pi lots now along with the GPUs? Yikes!
Skeleton1 — I
am retired but spent 42 years in IT in development, database design and
SQL development, and finally as a DBA. In all my years, the least
productive times were after the advent of project management. These
people were very inexperienced in the real world of IT, and actually a
hindrance to accomplishing the goals of a project. Everything had to be
a 'project', problems didn't get fixed because nothing could be done
without massive amounts of time spent 'managing'. Possibly the
worst example would be a simple set of a dozen pretty basic on-demand
reports that a programmer had written, all of which contained the same
logic flaw that produced invalid data. These reports were used by
several hundred remote dealer installations to evaluate historic sales
data. This very simple fix was coded, tested, submitted to QA
testing and passed, but languished for around five years while the
invalid data was continually produced until the overarching system was
retired. We could never get the timid project managers to allow the
release of the code.
